Preventative Care

Although twice-daily brushings and regular flossing are excellent for maintenance betweeen office visits, regular examinations, cleanings, and even fluoride treatments, are an absolute necessity if you are to maintain a healthy mouth. Our staff will help you keep your teeth and gums strong and disease-free. To schedule a cleaning or consultation, please contact our office today.

Periodontics

Unfortunately, periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile—it can cause loss of teeth and, eventually, if left untreated, serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth’s soft tissues. Early warning signs of the disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums. If caught early, we can help you reverse the damage or, if detected late, we can use one of many effective cosmetic dentistry procedures to restore your mouth to a healthy, beautiful state.

Implants

A dental implant is a manufactured post that is designed to create a stable foundation for a natural looking tooth restoration. Placed directly into the jawbone, a dental implant is the closest thing to your natural tooth. There are two parts to a dental implant which simulate the strong holding ability of the tooth root. The main part of the dental implant is embedded in the jawbone for an effect that is vastly stronger than dentures are capable of. The second part of the dental implant is a post that protrudes above the jawbone and gumline, to provide a fixed point to attach the tooth restoration that will simulate the crown. To replace one tooth, a single post is all that is required. For the replacement of multiple teeth, it might be necessary to place several dental implant posts.

Crowns and Bridges

For teeth that are damaged or decayed, crowns can be the perfect solution. Porcelain crowns fit over damaged teeth, restoring their strength, health, and beauty. Crowns can be matched to your natural tooth color so the fact that you have had dental work is easily concealed.

Tooth Whitening

As you age, you may begin to notice that your teeth aren't quite the same shade of white that they were in your youth. Typically, noticeable discolorations begins in the late 20s and early 30s. A variety of factors can speed up the discoloration process including chemical staining from drinking caffeine and smoking, a genetic predisposition to early yellowing, and the onset of gum and tooth disease. Cosmetic dentists have a very extensive choice of tooth whitening systems. The level of whiteness that can be achieved will depend on the level of discoloration of the teeth and how they came to be stained. Please call to ask about our monthly specials and get that Hollywood smile today.

Endodontics

We are able to do root canals but not all teeth are alike and may require special training and equipment to be done properly. The Doctor works closely with a highly trained endodontist to ensure you receive the best treatment available. To learn more about root canals, please contact us today.

Extraction

In only the most extreme and necessary cases—such as when its roots are severely damaged beyond repair—we may extract a tooth in preparation for a restorative dentistry procedure, such as a bridge, a partial, or dentures. If you have any questions about tooth extraction, please contact us today.

Inlays/Onlays

Some teeth need greater strength and support than can be given by fillings alone. Inlays and onlays are tooth-colored restorations that can fill large cavities and repair damaged teeth. Tooth-colored inlays and onlays do their work subtly and beautifully.

Full or Partial Dentures

Dentures can help take the place of missing natural teeth. Dentures allow a patient chew and speak more easily while improving appearance and often boosting self-confidence. Full dentures are used when all of a patients teeth need to be replaced. Partial dentures are used when only a few teeth are missing. In either case, dentures can help you look and feel your best.
